Gold Vibe Boochtender Job Description

Gold Vibe Kombuchary is looking for “boochtenders” who are professional, high-energy bartenders with excellent communication skills to serve a variety of kombucha, beer, merchandise and snacks to our customers. The boochtender will greet and serve customers, answer questions regarding our products, recommend menu items, pour and serve beverages, maintain games and monitor taproom activity - as well as engage in cash drawer management, handling checks, and money transactions. This position is also responsible for daily and weekly cleaning and restocking duties to maintain the appearance and productivity of the taproom. To succeed as a boochtender, you should have a neat appearance and be engaging, friendly, and outgoing. You will also be engaging in social media and general promotion of the taproom. You should be efficient, observant, knowledgeable, and personable, giving each customer an equal amount of time and attention. 

Boochtender Responsibilities:

  • Welcoming customers, reading and listening to people to determine beverage preferences, making recommendations, and taking drink orders.

  • Understanding drink menus and informing customers about new beverages and specials.
  • Checking identification to ensure customers are the legal age to purchase alcohol.
  • Notify management of low inventory items or missing inventory items.
  • Adhering to all food safety and quality regulations.
  • Handling cash, credit, and debit card transactions, ensuring charges are accurate and returning correct change to patrons, balancing the cash register and maintaining drawers
  • Understanding and writing checks, cash receipts, and review forms.
  • Maintaining a clean work/taproom area by removing trash, cleaning tables, and washing glasses, doing daily cleaning, and completing opening and closing lists
  • Understanding general soundboard use, music logistics, and microphone setup 
  • Working and communicating with the taproom manager to ensure positive implication of entertainment, such as group gatherings, music, comedy, ect. and general taproom happenings.
  • Capturing social media content during shifts to promote taproom experience

Requirements

  • High school Diploma.
  • Meets state minimum age to serve alcohol.
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays and fill in shifts.
  • Positive, engaging personality, and professional appearance.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong task and time/self management abilities.
  • Locally based with reliable transportation.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, etc for extended periods, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Retail/Service experience preferred.
